GETTING HERE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

By bus: Lines 22 & 32 stop at Scheffer and Trocadéro. Lines 30 & 63 stop at Trocadéro. Line 72 stops at Pont d’Iéna (short walk through the Trocadero gardens).
By Metro: Lines 6 & 9 stop at Trocadéro, exit at "Avenue Paul Doumer – Musée de l’Homme".
By river shuttle: Batobus, Bateaux parisiens and Vedettes de Paris stop at the Eiffel Tower.

OPENING TIMES

The Musée de l’Homme is open every day except Tuesday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, late nights Wednesday until 9:00 pm.
Closed Tuesdays, 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.
Galleries begin closing 30 minutes before closing time.

The exhibition is accessible for free with the ticket to visit the Museum.

Full price: Musée de l’Homme + temporary exhibition: 10 €
Reduced price: Musée de l’Homme + temporary exhibition: 8 €

Free admission:
  • Young up to 12 years
  • Member of Friends of the Musée de l’Homme Society.
  • Holder of the Paris Ile-de-France Comité Régional du Tourisme card.
  • Journalists on presentation of their business card (French or foreign).
  • Holder of the Paris Ile-de-France Comité Régional du Tourisme card.
  • Holder of the ICOM/ICOMS card valid for the current year.
  • Holder of the Culture card valid for the current year.
  • Museum staff, one adult and the children accompanying him/her on presentation of the Museum MultiPass.
  • Individual visitors entitled to free admission under a price partnership agreement on presentation of relevant proof.
  • Teachers preparing for a school trip, on presentation of proof from their school.
  • Students and teachers of human and natural sciences on presentation of proof from their school which has signed an agreement with the Museum.
  • People receiving welfare benefits on presentation of a certificate less than 6 months old and their dependents if the latter appear on the certificate accompanied by proof of identity with photo.
  • Job seekers on presentation of proof from the Job Centre or a similar establishment in a member State of the European Union, less than 6 months old or indicating a validity period, accompanied by proof of identity with photo.
  • Disabled people on presentation of a disability card and companions of disabled people limited to one person on presentation of proof for the need of accompaniment.
  • Accompanying adult for school groups limited to one free accompanying adult for every 3 nursery school pupils and one free accompanying adult for every 5 Primary and Secondary school pupils.
  • Tourist coach drivers accompanying groups of visitors on presentation of their business card.
